This photo was taken on a beautiful afternoon looking back into Cervinia. Off the right of the shot is the Matterhorn, and I expected to be sharing a photo of that magical mountain, but the light of this photo looking down into a wilderness with the solitary cable car disappearing into it captures so much of what I love about the aesthetics of skiing.
