For something so still, it turns out lanterns are quite tricky to photograph. I found myself constantly adjusting camera settings I don't fully understand to try and make them appear sharp, but without showing-up the bulbs inside (as has happened here with some of the animals on the right).
In this particular case, I'm not too bothered though. The glowing orbs inside the rhinos distract from the fact the lion is smaller than the ostrich it is hiding behind. And the less said about the relative sizes of the deer/rhino/panda combo, the better.
But then, an ark is an ark and I guess space was at a premium.
