Visiting my home village in southern Germany, I was surprised to find out that this lovely old building in the grounds of the village church, together with part of the vicarage and lots of other buildings dotted around the village, is now occupied by refugees. They are made welcomed here and a lot of the villagers invite them into their homes and teach them to speak German.
