The Eyes Have It

Norfolk seal colony sunbathing on the beach
Deciding on this month's image was a difficult task as we were fortunate enough to visit both the Norfolk Broads and Devon. There was an abundance of birds, butterflies, damselflies and dragonflies. I even spotted an otter, though wasn't fast enough to take a photo! The seal colony 'won' as we spent a fascinating couple of hours watching over 60 of them basking in the sun (from the recommended 10 metre distance). It was a shame to see so many injuries. The most shocking was a plastic ring biting into one seal's neck. Another reminder to cut such rings before putting them in the recycling/rubbish bin.
