The Fountain Of Union is the centrepiece of Freedom Square in Bratislava, Slovakia. It's a nine metre tall sculpture of a linden flower, weighs 12 tons and doesn't work. After the fall of communism, the fountain fell into disrepair and since 2007 it has been out of order. Restoration would cost an estimated €1,000,000 so, unsurprisingly, the plans for a new Freedom Square don't feature the flower at all.
