Glossy white cup mushrooms growing in clusters of 3 or 4, on a narrow, silvery grey tree (North Somerset, England)
We found these lovely white cup mushrooms growing very suddenly on one of our regular local walks. They seemed to just be growing on what appeared to be a relatively young, very healthy-looking tree, which is something I don't recall seeing before around here. Usually they cover rotting trunks and windfallen limbs, often after they've been brought down by the frequent seasonal gales here on the hill.
