When Generosity Stretches

As far as I can remember, no one has ever bought me flowers, much as I appreciate them (and yet understand zilch about them). I guess it's just not the "done thing". I've always had to buy my own. But never has a bunch lasted as long in my home as these ones that were bought for us after we got married. Pretty they are too. It made me think... I love it when a relatively small token of generosity goes further than originally intended.
