I have taken a load of sunset pictures this month, but I take a lot of those so I thought I'd start the year with something a bit different. This is a flock of pied wagtails, which roost in the trees in Southgate, Bath. They make a terrific noise while they are settling down and look amazing moving around.
I took this photo from nearly but not quite under the tree. I didn't want to be completely under this many bird backsides...
