I'm always struck by the changes that happen in October (and also April) every year. The greener pic is from the 4th october and the sparse red leaves are from the 2nd november. So much change in the space of a month! Being present and watching it unfold feels... like a sort of awe I guess, at the transformations nature goes through in the cycle of the year. And it brings home how alive everything is. Like, nature doesn't do things by halves. Nature blooms, produces, dies and gets back up again, every year. I have to marvel at that.
